OBUSAC

The club has set up an OBUSAC e-mail group. Subscribing to this service means you can send e-mails to, and receive e-mails from, all of the other members of OBUSAC in one go. Instructions are included below. Please note that this service is for members only.

OBUSAC Members:

Please ensure you subscribe to this service right away as this is how the committee send news, notices and reminders to everyone. You'll find full instructions below... First, however, we would ask you to read through the following notes:

Important Notes:

Do not use the e-mail group if you want to contact an individual member as everyone else will see your messages! Make sure you get their personal e-mail address.

If you received a message from the group service and want to send a discrete reply, do not hit the 'button on your e-mail browser as this will send your message to everyone in the group... you have to create a new message and insert the individuals address instead (If you don't know an individuals address, you can look it up by logging into the Yahoo Groups service).

One final thing; please do not use this facility to send large attachments containing jokes, images and other junk mail. Many members use their e-mail at work and we have been advised that several employers scan all incoming e-mail - if the file size is too large or its content inappropriate the employee may be disciplined or have the facility removed - meaning we can no longer keep in touch with them. In addition, for those using a telephone line at home, downloading large files can tie up their phone line for a long time and lead to large phone bills - not good for a penniless student!

Serious misuse of the e-mail group will lead to your removal from the group - meaning you may miss important messages and news!

Instructions:

To subscribe, send an e-mail to OBUSAC-subscribe@yahoogroups.com  ...without entering a subject or message.

You will receive an e-mail by return confirming your membership of the group and asking for a password. Follow the instructions, replying ASAP and that's all there is to it.

To send an e-mail to everyone in the club just send one message to OBUSAC@yahoogroups.com 

To remove yourself from the e-mail list, send an e-mail to OBUSAC-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
